Sheikh Maktoum makes a judgment outlining several judicial evaluations and inspections to consider concerns.
Sheikh Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, decided to adopt the Executive Regulations of the Judicial Inspection Department to improve the standard of Dubai’s judicial system (JID).
The Decision outlines the many sorts of judicial evaluations, such as yearly reviews, evaluations for promotions, inspections to look into complaints, and when necessary.
The JID is the primary oversight body for Dubai’s judiciary; thus, the Decision also outlined the JID’s duties in evaluating and overseeing the work of judicial authorities.
The Decision is in line with the goal of Sheikh Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, for an unbiased and fair judiciary, according to Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi. Al Suwaidi said that Sheikh Maktoum’s Decision reflects his desire to assess the performance of Dubai’s bench and its members’ conduct. He said the initiative intends to increase Dubai’s court system’s effectiveness by putting procedures that would assist its members’ skill sets. Additionally, the Decision aims to guarantee its findings’ neutrality and all parties’ rights.
The Decision, according to JID Director Judge Mohammed Mubarak, “reflects a quantum leap in the performance rating of members of Dubai’s judiciary.” He said that the choice maintains objectivity while establishing standards that would promote successful results and protect the court’s independence.
