The eVTOL X2 “flying vehicle” performs its first public test flight in Dubai

A fascinating new age of short-haul, intelligent flying is ushered with a 90-minute test flight.

The X2 is developed for low-altitude towns and generates no carbon dioxide. It can fly at a maximum speed of 130 km/h. The electric vertical launch and landing “eVTOL” two-seater flying vehicle boast an innovative flight control system that permits autonomous flight.

With assistance from the Dubai World Trade Center Authority, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and XPeng, the event was co-organized by the Dubai International Chamber and XPeng.

One of the three chambers running under Dubai Chambers is the Dubai International Chamber.

Remarkable 90 minutes

The X2 completed its historical 90-minute public test flight after leaving Dubai. This excursion starts with an exciting new era of short-haul aviation and advanced mobility options.

Government officials, including local and international media members, were present at the occasion.

With a maximum flying speed of 130 kph, the X2 creates no carbon dioxide and construction with low-altitude city capabilities in mind. Based on the efforts of the Dubai International Chamber and its China office since 2021 to draw major multinational companies (MNCs) to the emirate, the Selection of Dubai took place for the test flight.
