On November 13, the Dubai Women’s Marathon, the largest event of its sort for women in the region, will host its ninth edition. On Dubai’s Blue Waters Island, Group B put on a Schedule in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Complex and the Emirates Athletics Federation.

His Excellency Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Complex, will act as the race’s patron. The race’s distances are 3, 5, and 10 km.

More than 6,000 women from all areas of life will participate in the 10 km, and 5 km races, along with the 3 km fun run/walk, during this year’s event. An invitation is for girls and women above 12 participate, while adults must oversee younger participants (8 to 12 years old).

Being a participant in the ninth edition is an achievement for Plan B. It speaks volumes for Dubai, which has been the pioneer for equality, according to Dr. Harmeek Singh, Chairman, and CEO of Plan b Group. The Dubai Women’s Run has a powerful regional and worldwide message. We are here to bring back the Dubai Women’s Run initiative on a bigger and better platform because I fully believe in our talented leaders’ vision. I am playing in this position with the backing of a specialized team.

We are glad that women of different nations, including amateurs and professionals, will participate in the event, said Fawzia Faridoon, Manager of Women Sports Programs at Dubai Sports Council. We can expand and remain to participate in many competitive events as female runners from our national team are among the contestants in the 10km category, competing with international runners.

The racing level would have a distinctive character, Major General Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al Murr, Chairman of the UAE Athletics Federation, remarked. In line with the Athletics Federation’s objective of developing the game, it may create a high degree of passion and firm competitiveness. Because in the final, the woman who increases her prestige in society comes out on top.
